| Precision Blasting provided drilling and blasting services through a subcontract agreement with Strack, Inc. This is a high profile job in the Columbus GA area. The job consists of approximately 4,000 feet of 42″ ductile iron pipe. The line runs north from the Water Treatment Plant to service the north side of Columbus. Coordination has been key on this project as it runs along the interstate, a Georgia Power right of way, and is in close proximity to numerous structures along the way. We have paced traffic along Highway 80/22 using City of Columbus police officers and worked closely with Georgia Power on their right of way. Interaction with GDOT has been in the form of five blasting plans which have been submitted and approved on this project alone. |
